Christopher M. Laframboise, a 39-year-old man from Brutus, facing charges of attempted second-degree murder and second-degree assault, may undergo a psychiatric assessment.
Both charges stem from a February incident where Laframboise allegedly assaulted another man with a machete in the town of Victory. The New York State Police apprehended him the following day during a traffic halt in the town of Conquest.
The Court’s permitted this defense to proceed, acknowledging the attorney’s fresh involvement in the case.
His next scheduled court date is September 14.
