For the fourth time in the last six years and the 21st time in program history, the Lyons Lions have claimed a sectional title.
The top-seeded Lions (22-1) used a dominant fourth-quarter run to defeat the Wheatland-Chili Wildcats (16-8), 67-45, in the Section V Class C3 Final on Sunday afternoon at the Blue Cross Arena.

It was a tight game for the first 24 minutes as Lyons led by just eight after three quarters. However, the Lions exploded for 21 fourth-quarter points, and the defense held Wheatland-Chili to just seven as they pulled away to secure the victory.
Re-listen to the game: Paul Russo and Nate Sharman had the call on FL1 Radio.
JC Walker netted a game-high 23 points to lead Lyons and was named tournament MVP. Michael Briggs and Jamire Johnson split 16 points, while Jaiden Lopez poured in seven. Terry Bayly-Henshaw scored a team-high 16 points for the Wildcats.
Lyons will await the results of the Class C2 and C3 championships to determine the regional qualifying schedule.
