The upcoming court appearance in the lawsuit against the town of Seneca Falls by the Seneca Meadows Landfill has been postponed.
According to the Finger Lakes Times, the new court date is now set for February 14th.
In 2016, the Seneca Falls Town Board approved a local law, via two meetings, aimed at closing the landfill. Seneca Meadows alleges that the law’s adoption contravened some provisions of the State Environmental Quality Review process and should be voided.
The local law mandates the closure of the landfill by December 31st, 2025.
