Former Congressman John Katko joins lobbying firm

  • / Updated:
  • Staff Report

Former Congressman John Katko has joined HillEast Group, a lobbying firm founded by his former chief of staff, Brad Gentile. The firm, based in Washington, D.C., also includes former top aides Zach Howell and Erin O’Connor Elliott.

Katko will serve as an advisor at HillEast Group, as former members of Congress are prohibited from becoming lobbyists for a year after leaving office.

Katko served as the representative for New York’s 24th Congressional District from 2015 until his announcement in January 2022 that he would not seek re-election.

This move marks the latest development in Katko’s career following his time in Congress.
