On January 21st at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported theft at a business in the Town of Junius. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies observed a white 2010 Honda Accord leaving the business and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
An investigation identified the two occupants of the vehicle, 25-year-old Jasmine L. Knight and 22-year-old Malysia S. Manning, both from Rochester, as the suspects in the theft. It was determined that the two women had stolen items from multiple businesses before being apprehended by the deputies.
Both Knight and Manning were arrested and charged with 2 counts of Grand Larceny 4th, 2 counts of Petit Larceny, Conspiracy 5th, Conspiracy 6th, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Knight also received an additional charge of Possession of Burglar’s Tools.
The suspects were transported to the Law Enforcement Center in Romulus, where they were processed at the Seneca County Jail and released on appearance tickets. Knight and Manning are scheduled to appear in the Junius Town Court in February to answer for the charges against them.
