On the Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 edition of Finger Lakes Today, hosts Rebecca Swift and Jim Sinicropi prepare you for the day. To start the show, Sean Marron of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra joins us in studio. Sean plays the flute in the RPO and is a student at the Eastman School of Music. After getting to know Sean, he performs live in studio.
Josh Durso then discusses some of the largest news items impacting the Finger Lakes region, including updates on a fatal crash in Wayne County, a fatal fire in Schuyler County, a false bomb threat at a local school, a rise in guns being brought to local airports and a price increase on stamps. Rebecca recently spoke with Jeffrey Wierzbicki from the Finger Lakes Problem Gambling Resource Center on the impact mobile sports betting has had in the area.
Nate Sharman and Paul Russo join the show to discuss the NFL Playoff games and odds with Rebecca and Jim, as well as get you caught up on the local high school hoops scene from last night.
