The Seneca County Board of Supervisors will determine the chairman for 2023 at their organizational meeting today.
The current chairman, Bob Hayssen, will not seek reelection to the position, which pays $18,573. The other 13 board members are paid $14,637.
The 14-member board is expected to choose between Mike Enslow and Mike Ferrara, both of whom are Republicans.
The board will also appoint a finance director and select a majority leader at the meeting.
Halle Stevens currently holds the position of finance director, and Mike Enslow held the position of majority leader in 2022.
The first regular board meeting of the year will take place on January 10.
