Ontario County has a new sheriff.
Sheriff-elect David Cirencione and Undersheriff Michael Rago were sworn-in this week in a ceremony held at Finger Lakes Community College.

Cirencione becomes the 47th sheriff of Ontario County.
They officially take over on Sunday, January 1st, 2023.
A 20-year veteran of law enforcement, Cirencione joined the sheriff’s office in 2002 as a Deputy and was serving as Lieutenant prior to his election as Sheriff. Rago has served with the Sheriff’s Office for a dozen years and was promoted to Sergeant in 2017.
