Police arrested an Ovid resident following a shoplifting complaint at the Walmart in Seneca Falls.
Jesse Steve, age 37, was charged with petit larceny after taking items out of the store that were not paid for.
Police said Steve concealed the items then left without rendering payment.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
