State police have provided an update on the serious crash that shut down 5&20 Saturday afternoon in the town of Aurelius.
According to troopers, the accident happeend around 11:50 a.m.
The operator of an eastbound vehicle, identified as Andrew Lang, age 29, of East Aurora, crossed into the westbound lane striking a vehicle operated by Randy Cornish, age 27, of Weedsport.
Both Lang and Cornish were transported to Upstate Hospital for their injuries. Two passengers in Cornish’s vehicle, ages 21 and 1, were also transported to Upstate Hospital for their injuries.
State police shut the road down for several hours as the investigation unfolded. The road reopened that night, but troopers said Monday the accident remained under investigation.
