Police say an 82-year-old Penn Yan resident was arrested after a home invasion investigation.
Rose II Freedom, age 82, of Penn Yan was arrested by police after a reported home invasion on Clinton Street.
Police responded, finding that Freedom had unlawfully entered the residence of her neighbor with the intent to steal a dog.
During the incident, Freedom engaged in a physical altercation with the victim and pulled her hair.
Freedom was charged with second-degree burglary, attempted petit larceny, and harassment.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
