The Buffalo Sabres have recalled goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen from the Rochester Americans, the team announced Thursday.
This move comes after Eric Comrie left Wednesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators with a lower-body injury.
Head coach Don Granato didn’t have much of an update on Comrie’s status following the game. He is scheduled to speak to the media following Friday’s practice.
Luukkonen is 6-3-0 with a .898 save percentage and a 3.07 goals-against average with the Amerks this season.
