Deputies arrested a Palmyra man following an investigation into family trouble on Friday.
A little before 1 p.m. Shane Brunce, age 21, of Palmyra was arrested for criminal mischief and assault.
The charges stem from a family trouble incident where he got into an argument with his girlfriend – and struck her father in the face several times.
He also knocked a television onto the ground causing damage to it.
He was taken to the Wayne County jail for arraignment. The charges will be answered at a later date.
