The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Huron man following an investigation into a disabled vehicle in Sodus.
According to deputies, Daniel Garcia Rubio, age 41, was charged with DWI and operating with a BAC over 0.18%.
Deputies were patrolling Ridge Road in Sodus when they came upon Garcia Rubio’s vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane. While investigating, deputies observed that he was impaired.
Deputies attempted to administer field sobriety tests, but Garcia Rubio refused. He was taken into custody and found to have a BAC of 0.19% – more than twice the legal limit.
He was processed before being released on appearance tickets. The charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
