The Rochester Americans downed the Syracuse Crunch, 3-1, on Wednesday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena. Rochester improved to 7-4-0-0 on the season, while the Crunch fell to 2-6-1-2.
Ethan Prow, Zach Berzolla, and Lukas Rousek found the back of the net for the Amerks. Brandon Biro, Mason Jobst, and Brandon Davidson collected assists. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 34-of-35 shots.
Gabriel Fortier scored the lone goal for the Crunch. Hugo Alnefelt turned aside 25-of-27 shots.
Both teams failed to capitalize on the power play as Rochester went 0-for-4 and Syracuse finished 0-for-3.
The Amerks will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Cleveland Monsters. The Crunch will host the Belleville Senators that same night.
