Amerks comeback falls short in loss to Comets

The Rochester Americans were unable to erase a two-goal deficit as they fell to the Utica Comets, 2-1, on Saturday night at the Adirondack Bank Center. With the loss, Rochester had their three-game win streak snapped.

Brett Murray scored the Amerks’ lone goal, his fifth of the season. Tyson Kozak and Ethan Prow recorded an assist. Michael Houser stopped 21-of-23 shots.

Rochester went 0-for-1 on the power play and a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.

The Amerks will get a few days off before they head to Syracuse to take on the Crunch on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
