Amerks rally to top Comets, 5-3

The Rochester Amerks rallied back from an early two-goal deficit to defeat the Utica Comets, 5-3, on Friday night at the Blue Cross Arena. With the victory, the Amerks improved to 6-3-0 on the season.

Rochester trailed after the first two periods but netted three goals in the third to secure the win.


Mason Jobst, Anders Bjork, Lukas Rousek, Linus Weissbach, and Ethan Prow found the back of the net. Brandon Biro collected two assists. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 37-of-40 shots.

Rochester went 1-for-4 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.

The two teams will meet again tomorrow at 7 p.m. as the Amerks go for their fourth consecutive victory.
