Amerks roll past Crunch, 7-2

The Rochester Americans rolled past the Syracuse Crunch, 7-2, on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena. With the victory, Rochester improved to 5-3-0 on the season.

The Amerks jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back as they led 5-2 after two before adding two more in the third to secure the victory.

Jiri Kulich, Matt Bartkowski, Brendan Warren, Linus Weissbach, Brandon Biro, Brett Murray, and Mason Jobst all found the back of the net for Rochester. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 24-of-26 shots.

Daniel Walcott and Jack Thompson netted goals for the Crunch. Max Lagace stopped 14-of-21 shots.

Rochester went 1-for-5 on the power play, while Syracuse finished 0-for-3.

The Amerks will be back in action on Friday when they host the Utica Comets. Syracuse will head to Charlotte to take on the Checkers.
