The Rochester Americans bounced back from Friday’s loss with a 5-1 victory over the Laval Rocket on Saturday afternoon at Place Bell Arena. With the win, the Amerks improved to 4-3-0 on the season.
Laval scored the first goal of the game early in the first period but Rochester answered with three goals in the span of four minutes and cruised from there.
Isak Rosen, Anders Bjork, Linus Weissbach, Brett Murray, and Jiri Kulich found the back of the net for the Amerks. Brando Biro and Mason Jobst each collected a pair of assists.
Michael Houser made his first start of the season and made 31 saves.
Rochester went 0-for-2 on the power play and a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The Amerks will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Syracuse Crunch at 7 p.m.
