The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Kale Clague from the Rochester Americans, the team announced Sunday.
This move comes after Mattias Samuelsson left Saturday’s game in Vancouver with a lower-body injury. Buffalo is already without Henri Jokiharju, who was placed on injured reserve.
Clague signed a one-year deal with the Sabres this past summer. The 24-year-old has tallied three assists in five games with the Amerks this season.
The Sabres will wrap up their four-game road trip on Tuesday night in Seattle. The faceoff against the Kraken is set for 10 p.m.
