The city of Auburn is getting a boost to bolster its wastewater infrastructure upgrades.
According to Governor Kathy Hochul’s office, Auburn is among 27 municipalities across the state that will share in approximately $10 million that was set aside to fund the Asset Management Program.
The Department of Environmental Conservation and Environmental Facilities Corporation administer the program.
The city of Auburn and village of Skaneateles both won funding. The first phase happened in 2021. The second phase is taking shape now.
The goal is to help move existing water infrastructure projects and improve resiliency of those systems.
