The Syracuse Mets fell to the Buffalo Bisons, 15-8, in the series opener on Tuesday night at NBT Bank Stadium.
Francisco Alvarez and Dominic Smith crushed their seventh home runs of the season. Travis Jankowski, Jake Mangum, JT Riddle, and Michael Perez chipped in with RBIs.
Tylor Megill made another rehab start and did not make it out of the first inning. The right-hander surrendered five runs on three hits. Connor Grey, Nate Fisher, and Adonis Medina combined to allow 10 runs in relief.
Syracuse will try to bounce back on Wednesday at 6:35 p.m.
