A float plane had to make an emergency landing at a Southern Tier airport on Friday.
Tom Freeman, General Manager of the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport, said the plane landed safely and had two onboard.

Before the plane landed first responders scrambled to the scene to ensure both onboard would remain safe.
The aircraft featured two pontoons as well as wheels for landing on land or water.
The reason for the emergency landing was not immediately clear.
