Clyde man accused of sexually abusing 9-year-old in Wayne County

New York State Police say a 34-year-old Clyde man has been arrested for felony sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Richard Harper, 34, of Clyde is accused of having sexual contact with a victim who was 9-years-old at the time of the incident.

Harper was arrested on Thursday, August 18 at 6:25 a.m., according to investigators.

The victim told her mother about the abuse, which happened at her home.

Harper was remanded to the Wayne County Jail and released after posting bond. An order of protection was issued for the victim.
