Sabres sign Riley Sheahan to one-year, two-way contract

The Buffalo Sabres brought back a familiar face on Wednesday.

The team signed forward Riley Sheahan to a one-year, two-way contract worth $950,000.

This will be Sheahan’s second stint with the Sabres. In 2020-21, the 30-year-old posted 13 points (4+9) over 53 games played. He spent last season with the Seattle Kraken and recorded four goals and 13 assists in 69 games.

Sheahan was selected in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings. He has tallied 194 points (74+120) in 635 career games.
