A Geneva man was arrested following report of a suspicious condition on July 30.

According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jose Mozgueda-Renteria, 34, of Geneva for driving while intoxicated and operating without a license.

It is alleged that Mozgueda-Renteria drove to Ma and Pa’s Beverage Store in Sodus to buy beer while in an intoxicated state. After being refused, he drove across the street to the Corner Store where deputies initiated a traffic stop. Mozgueda-Renteria failed roadside field sobriety testing and was arrested.

He will answer charges before the Sodus Town Court at a later date.
