Delaware

Delaware residents are set to get direct payments worth $300. Overall, the relief program is worth $240 million, and is intended to help those struggling to deal with inflated prices. Residents that filed a 2020 or 2021 state tax return will get paid. The first round of checks was distributed in May. However, up to 150,000 Delaware residents are still waiting on the $300 rebate. This means that roughly 20% of eligible residents still haven’t gotten the payment. The remaining checks should be distributed before October.

Florida

In Florida, nearly 60,000 residents are eligible for direct payments worth $450. The checks should arrive between now and August 7, according to the Florida Department of Children and Families. The payments are coming from a program called “Hope Florida – A Pathway to Prosperity“.

Hawaii

Residents oh Hawaii should be expecting a one-time tax refund next month. Anyone making less than $100,000 annually will receive a $300 rebate. If you make more than that each year but less than $200,000– you will get $100. A family of four could get a refund up to $1,200. The checks are set to be sent out in the last week of August.

Colorado

Colorado taxpayers are set to get a refund worth $750. Joint filers can expect to see $1,500. It is estimated that more than 3 million residents will qualify for the payment. The deadline to file your taxes to qualify was June 30– or until October 17 if you have an extension. Payments will begin in January 2023.

Maine

In Maine rebate checks worth $850 for single filers and $1,700 for joint filers have been sent out. In each week of June officials distributed about 200,000 checks. By this time, the majority of Maine residents should have received the payment.

In order to qualify an individual can’t make more than $100,000, while heads of the households can make $150,000 and $200,000 for joint filers. The refund is based on 2021 tax returns. Residents have until October 31 to file and still receive the payment.

New Mexico

In New Mexico, residents are getting their second round of tax rebates. The rebate is worth $250 for individual filers and $500 for married couples or those filing as heads of households. The income limit to qualify is less tan $75,000 for individuals and $150,000 for head of household or joint filers.

Connecticut

The applications for child tax credits in Connecticut closed July 31. The credit is worth $250 per child. The maximum payment is $750. Any parent in Connecticut who claimed a child that is 18 or younger on their 2021 taxes could get the credit. The payments will likely go out ibn August.

Pennsylvania

Direct payments for Pennsylvania’s property tax rebate program started going out on July 1. This program benefits people 65 or older, widows and widowers over 50, and disabled Americans that are 18 or older. The maximum standard rebate is $650, but some homeowners qualify for additional rebates of up to $975. Renters and homeowners who make $8,000 or less will get a $650 rebate.

Chicago

Each month Chicago residents can apply to be placed in a lottery for gas cards worth $150 or transit cards worth $50. However, the deadline to apply for the next round is today, August 1. In order to apply, you must be a resident of Chicago, be at least 18, nd have a current and valid city sticker with the correct mailing information for your vehicle.
