The Buffalo Sabres have re-signed forward Victor Olofsson to a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $4.75 million, the team announced Wednesday.
Olofsson was a restricted free agent. The 26-year-old is entering his fifth NHL season, all with the Sabres.
Olofsson reached career highs in assists (29) and points (49) and matched his previous career high with 20 goals last season despite an injury that forced him to miss 10 games.
Buffalo selected Olofsson in the seventh round of the 2014 NHL Draft. He has 127 points (55+72) in 188 career NHL games.
