Elderly Americans in the state of New York could see stimulus payments worth $200 before the end of 2022 if they meet certain criteria.
The legislation was passed in Onondaga County.
The plan is to help seniors that had a hard time paying their bills.
Eligibility for the stimulus payments in Onondaga County
Seniors enrolled in the Enhanced STAR property tax exemption during the 2022 and 2023 school year will see the $200 payment.
You must be a homeowner and 65 years old or older.
Checks worth up to $500 going out to Georgia residents
Your household income cannot exceed $92,000.
Around 27,500 households are expected to qualify that receive benefits.
You can download the form online and fill them out with an assessor.
If you aren’t already enrolled, it is unclear if you can still get the $200 stimulus payment.
Checks will be sent in December of this year.
