Deputies say two people are facing charges after an investigation into animals who were not taken care of appropriately in the town of Bristol.
According to a news release, on June 2 around 8:45 a.m. deputies executed a search warrant on Route 64 after several complaints were received about the poor living conditions for animals at that location.
Around two dozen animals were found at the location, which included nine dogs, four pigeons, three parrots, and a cockatiel. There were also 15 goats, a goose, and duck.
Unfortunately, five dead goats and chickens were also located by investigators.
Owners of the property, identified as Robbin Harvey, 60, and Robert Pool, 61, were charged with animal cruelty and failure to provide proper food and water.
The Ontario County Humane Society is asking for the public’s help with supplies for dogs, birds, and cleaning supplies to assist with their rehabilitation.
