Amerks fall to Comets in Game 4

The Rochester Americans had a chance to close out the best-of-five North Division semifinal series on Tuesday night at the Blue Cross Arena with a win over the Utica Comets. However, they couldn’t get it done as they fell 4-2.

Utica jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first period and never looked back as they scored three more in the second and held on in the third for the victory.

Arttu Ruotsalainen and Mark Jankowski scored for Rochester while Aaron Dell stopped 22-of-26 shots. Michael Houser entered the game in the third period and made seven saves.

A.J. Greer scored twice for the Comets while Nolan Foote and Chase De Leo also tallied. Nico Daws turned aside 30-of-32 shots.

Rochester finished 2-for-6 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.

Utica will host a winner-take-all Game 5 on Thursday evening.
