There are thousands of families who could qualify for a UBI program that will give them $500 monthly payments, but they must act fast and apply.
Residents of the city of Chicago have just days to apply for a UBI program that would give them guaranteed monthly income.
The $31 million dollar program is called the Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot.
5,000 low income families will be selected to receive $500 per month for one year.
Who qualifies for the UBI program?
There are a few eligibility requirements residents must meet in order to qualify for the program.
You must be a resident in the city of Chicago.
Those 18 and older may apply.
You must prove that you experienced financial hardship due to the pandemic.

Your household income cannot exceed 250% of the federal poverty line.
One person per household may apply and those chosen will be done so with a lottery system.
Applications close Friday, May 13 at 11:59 p.m.
Applications opened April 25, 2022.
