The Buffalo Sabres made some roster moves on Friday morning.
The team recalled goaltender Michael Houser from the Rochester Americans and sent defenseman Casey Fitzgerald and goalie Aaron Dell to Rochester.
Houser has appeared in two NHL games this season and is 2-0-0 with a .948 save percentage and a 2.00 goals-against average.
Fitzgerald has six assists in 36 NHL games this season. He has nine points in 27 games with Rochester.
Dell has served as Dustin Tokarski’s backup for Buffalo’s last two games as Craig Anderson has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. Dell is 12-7-1 with a .908 save percentage and a 2.97 goals-against average with the Amerks this season.
The Amerks will host the Utica Comets on Friday night in the final game of the regular season. In order to clinch a playoff spot, Rochester must win and the Toronto Marlies must lose their final game on Saturday in regulation.
The Sabres will host the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night in the regular-season finale.
Both games will start at 7 p.m.
