Thousands of Americans are eligible to soon start applying for a UBI and stimulus program offering up to $1,000.
These applications are available for programs in Baltimore and Chicago.
The two programs are for two different things: a stimulus payment and a UBI program.
The program in Chicago is a stimulus gas card program, while the one in Baltimore is a UBI program.
Chicago gas card stimulus program
Chicago is waiting on the vote of the full city council to pass a program that would offer residents $150 gas cards.
If it passes, low income residents could see the cards to help offset rising gas costs.
50,000 cards may be sent out.
UBI & Stimulus: Applications open for $500 payments and $1,400 stimulus
In order to qualify, you must be 18 or older and live in Chicago.
You need a valid city sticker with a mailing address and your household income must be below 140% of the median income.
Baltimore UBI program
Baltimore, Maryland residents will be able to apply to the $1,000 monthly payment program next week.
This is the Baltimore Young Families Success Fund.
UBI: $500 payments in Chicago, how to apply
200 young parents will see the payments for two years.
The requirements include being between 18 and 24 years old, being parents, having full or partial custody of the child, and having an income below 300% of the federal poverty level.
Applications start May 2 and will go until May 9.
