Residents of Chicago and Iowa may be in luck as UBI and stimulus programs open up applications for $500 and $1,400 payments today.
The application openings are for one UBI program and one single stimulus payment of $1,400.
The two programs are different between Iowa and Chicago.
Chicago UBI program will pay resident $500 monthly
The UBI program opening in Chicago is called the Chicago Resilient Communities Pilot is one of the biggest programs in the country.
5,000 low income families could see payments worth $500 per month for one year.
There are eligibility requirements for residents to apply for the lottery.

You must reside in Chicago and be 18 or order while proving you suffered financially from COVID-19.
Your household income must fall at or below 250% of the federal poverty line.
Applications open today and will close on May 13, 2022.

Johnson County, Iowa is giving some residents a stimulus payment of $1,400
Around 2,500 residents of Johnson County, Iowa are expected to qualify for a one time $1,400 stimulus payment.
Applications opened today, April 25, at 12 p.m.
There are requirements to qualify.
You need to meet one of the following:
- Suffered housing insecurity
- Loss of employment
- Exclusion from previous federal stimulus checks
If you get food stamps or SSI you may qualify.
Applications close May 9, 2022.
