The Buffalo Sabres extended their win streak to four games with a 5-3 victory over the New York Islanders on Saturday afternoon at KeyBank Center.
Not only has Buffalo won four in a row, they have also won five of their last six.
Casey Mittelstadt, Rasmus Dahlin, Tage Thompson, Vinnie Hinostroza and Jeff Skinner scored for the Sabres while Dustin Tokarski turned aside 19-of-22 shots.
Mathew Barzal, Noah Bobson and Ryan Pulock were New York’s goal scorers. Ilya Sorokin stopped 30-of-35 shots.
Buffalo finished 1-for-6 on the power play and a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Sabres will get a few days off before they head to Boston to take on the Bruins on Thursday at 7 p.m. in what will be the second to last game of the season.
