Newark woman threatened person with hedge clippers in Canandaigua

Police say a 27-year-old Newark resident was arrested for menacing and faces other charges after threatening a person with hedge clippers.

Shela Hutchinson, 27, was charged with menacing, unlawful imprisonment, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after an incident on West Avenue.


Following investigation it was determined that Hutchinson threatened a person with a pair of hedge clippers, and then pushed the victim against a wall- holding them down.

The entire incident took place in front of two children.

Hutchinson was arrested and transported to the Ontario County Jail pending arraignment.
