The Rochester Americans scored once in each of the first two periods and held on for a 2-1 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack on Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena.
Michael Mersch and Mark Jankowski scored for the Amerks while Ukk0-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 36-of-37 shots.
Nick Merkley scored the lone goal for the Wolf Pack while Adam Huska stopped 25-of-27 shots.
Rochester finished 2-for-2 on the power play and 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Amerks will be back in action on Tuesday when they host the Springfield Thunderbirds at 7:05 p.m.
