The Rochester Americans defeated the Laval Rocket, 4-3, in overtime on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena.
Rochester led 3-2 going into the third period, but Laval scored a goal halfway through to tie the game and eventually force overtime.
Ethan Prow netted the game-winner for the Amerks. Linus Weissbach, Mark Jankowski and Sean Malone also tallied while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 27-of-30 shots.
Jean-Sebastien Dea, Jesse Ylonen, and Xavier Ouellet scored for Laval. Kevin Poulin made 29 saves in the loss.
Rochester finished 2-for-6 on the power play and 2-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Amerks will be back in action on Friday night when they host the Belleville Senators at 7:05 p.m.
