The Rochester Americans dropped their second straight game to the Laval Rocket with a 4-3 overtime loss on Friday night at Place Bell.
Laval scored late in the third period to tie the game at three before winning it in overtime.
Sean Malone, Linus Weissbach and Arttu Ruotsalainen scored for Rochester while Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 40-of-44 shots.
Danick Martel, Cedric Paquette, Sami Niku and Rafael Harvey-Pinard netted goals for the Rocket while Kevin Poulin turned aside 16-0f-19 shots.
Rochester finished 0-for-2 on the power play and 2-for-3 on the penalty kill.
The Amerks will try to snap their two-game skid on Saturday night in Belleville against the Senators. Face-off is slated for 7:05 p.m.
