Another UBI program has been created, this time in Palm Springs, California, where transgender and nonbinary individuals can see $900.
$200,000 is being set aside for the program, which had unanimous votes last week.
The money will be for those in poverty who identify as nonbinary and transgender.
Up to 20 people will be selected for the $900 payments, which will last for 18 months.

The funding will come from taxpayers.
DAP Health and Queer Works will be managing the UBI program.
According to The Sun, DAP Health CEO explained why transgendered individuals were the target group for the program.
The group is one of the most marginalized populations.

They suffer from housing insecurity, job security, and are discriminated against at higher rates.
Not everyone supports the program.
Former San Diego city councilman Carl DeMaio called the program outrageous and discriminatory.
Residents who think they may qualify have until April 10 to apply.
