April is Alcohol Awareness Month and the Schuyler County Coalition on Underage Drinking and Drugs (SCCUDD) want parents to know that they play a crucial role in educating their children about the dangers of alcohol use.
Research shows that kids who learn about the dangers of underage drinking from their parents are up to 50 percent less likely to experiment than kids who don’t. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) “Talk .They Hear You.” campaign can help parents start talking with their children about the dangers of alcohol and other drugs.
