New York Yankees fans are going to need an Amazon Prime Video subscription in order to watch some games this season.
According to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, 21 of the Yankees 162 regular season games will be streamed exclusively on Prime Video. The games will mostly be on Friday nights.
The first game to be streamed on Prime Video will be on Friday, April 22, when the Yankees host the Cleveland Guardians.
The news comes shortly after the announcement that AppleTV+ will broadcast some Yankees and Mets games during the upcoming season. The game will be free for all to watch, though eventually fans will have to subscribe to the service to watch all the games being shown there throughout the season.
