The Rochester Americans suffered a tough loss on Sunday afternoon as they blew a late two-goal lead and fell to the Bridgeport Islanders, 6-5, at the Blue Cross Arena.
Bridgeport scored twice in the final four minutes of regulation, including one with just 6.2 seconds remaining.
Jack Quinn, Mark Jankowski, JJ Peterka, Arttu Ruotsalainen and Linus Weissback scored for Rochester.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 40-of-46 shots in the loss.
Robin Salo, Cole Bardreau, Arnaud Durandeau, Austin Czarnik, Michael Dal Colle and Chris Terry scored for the Islanders.
Jakub Skarek turned aside 25-of-30 shots to earn the win.
Rochester finished 2-for-4 on the power play and a perfect 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Islanders outshot the Amerks, 46-30.
The Amerks will be back in action on Wednesday when they host the Utica Comets at 7:05 p.m.
