First residents move in to Ithaca’s West End Heights housing development

Geneva-based non-profit Lakeview Health Services has recently opened their West End Heights housing development at 704 West Court St. in Ithaca.

The opening of the low-income and special needs housing building is the result of three years’ worth of planning. The first tenants of the 60-unit mixed-use building have begun moving in at this point. Construction for the $21.7 million project began in 2020, according to Ithaca Voice.

Out of the 60 total apartments, 22 affordable apartments are available to the general community who have an income at or below 60% of area median income. which falls between $31,400 and $43,020 depending on size of household.

The other 38 units will house individuals who are a part of Lakeview’s congregate living or supportive apartment programs.
