Police say an Auburn man was arrested following a motor vehicle accident in the Town of Huron.
According to a news release, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ralph A. Principio, 40, of Auburn following a single car crash that occurred in October 2021.
The single car crash took place on State Route 104 in the Town of Heron. Upon arrival, deputies identified the driver as Principio and he was found to be impaired by drugs. A search of his persons and vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia including a powdery substance that was suspected cocaine. The substance was collected for toxicological analysis and Principio was released pending the forensic analysis and blood draw. Principio was later contacted by deputies confirming the confirmation of drugs being active in his blood along with the substance which was found to be a mixture of cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
Principio returned to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and taken into custody.
