The Rochester Americans snapped a three-game skid on Saturday night with a 3-2 win over the Utica Comets at Adirondack Bank Center.
Aaron Dell stopped 33-of-35 shots to earn the victory for Rochester. Akira Schmid turned aside 16-of-19 shots for Utica.
Both teams were unable to convert on their power play opportunities as the Amerks went 0-for-2 and the Comets finished 0-for-4.
Jimmy Schuldt, Lukas Craggs and and Linus Weissbach scored for Rochester.
Aarne Talvitie and Ryan Schmelzer tallied for Utica.
The Amerks will play their fourth game in five days on Sunday when they face the Syracuse Crunch at Upstate Medical University Arena. Face-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
