Crunch double up Amerks, 6-3

The Syracuse Crunch scored three goals in the first period and three in the third to defeat the Rochester Americans, 6-3, on Wednesday night at the Blue Cross Arena.

Crunch goaltender Hugo Alnefelt stopped 21-of-24 shots to earn the win. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen turned aside 22-of-27 shots for the Amerks before being relieved by Aaron Dell, who made five saves.

Syracuse went 1-for-5 on the power play while Rochester finished 0-for-3.

Alex Barre-Boulet scored twice for the Crunch while Gabriel Dumont, Cole Koepke, Darren Raddysh and Antoine Morand also notched goals.


Arttu Ruotsalainen netted two goals for the Amerks and Josh Teves also scored.

Syracuse is back in action on Friday night when they host the Utica Comets at 7 p.m.

Rochester hits the road to take on the Belleville Senators on Friday night at 7 p.m.
