The Rochester Americans defeated the Syracuse Crunch, 2-1, in overtime on Friday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Amerks goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made a career-high 54 saves. Hugo Alnefelt stopped 21-of-23 shots for the Crunch.
Both teams were unable to convert on their power play opportunities as Rochester went 0-for-1 and Syracuse finished 0-for-2.
Brett Murray scored the first goal for the Amerks and Ethan Prow netted the game-winner. JJ Peterka tallied two assists.
Gemel Smith scored the lone goal for the Crunch.
Syracuse will try to snap their two-game skid on Saturday when they host the Utica Comets at 7 p.m.
Rochester is also back in action on Saturday as they host the Toronto Marlies at 2:30 p.m.
