JJ Peterka scored the game-winner in overtime to lift the Rochester Americans over the Bridgeport Islanders, 3-2, on Tuesday night at Webster Bank Arena.
Peterka finished with two goals as he scored the first goal of the game. Brandon Biro also scored for the Amerks.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 32-of-34 to earn the victory.
Andy Andreoff and Paul Thompson tallied for the Islanders.
Ken Appleby turned aside 27-of-30 shots for Bridgeport.
Rochester went 1-for-3 on the power play and were 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
The Amerks take on the Utica Comets on Friday at the Adirondack Bank Center. Face-off is slated for 7 p.m.
